Your Ultimate Guide to Wedding Floral Design in Salt Lake

Congratulations on your engagement! Planning a wedding is a time filled with love, joy, and of course, just a little stress. However, one part of it that should be stress free is choosing the right wedding flowers to complement your big day.

That’s where we come in!

At Cactus & Tropicals, we specialize in crafting the perfect wedding floral arrangements that capture your unique personality, vision and style.

In this blog post, we’re answering some of the most common questions we hear about our Wedding Floral Design services. Hopefully this information will help you evaluate all the options and find the best wedding floral design services in Salt Lake.

The Booking Process: From Engagement to Wedding Day

"I am recently engaged and want to know what the floral booking process looks like. What should I do?"

The first thing we encourage everyone to do is to fill out our online inquiry form. We’ve designed it to ask all the important questions about your wedding, so we can gather the essential details.

Once we have this information, one of our skilled floral designers will reach out to you to set up a consultation. This can either be done in-store, virtually, or even at your wedding venue.

After discussing your vision, including colors and any specific needs, we’ll provide you with a mood board and a custom proposal for our services.

Once everything is agreed upon, we’ll need a 50% prepayment and a signed agreement to secure your event.

On the big day, our team will handle everything from delivering the flowers to even setting up any intricate floral installations.

When to Schedule a Consultation

"How far in advance should I schedule a consultation?"

Ideally, we’d love to book your floral appointment as soon as you’ve confirmed your wedding date, venue and color scheme. This will allow us to customize your specific floral arrangements to your venue and the season, which ensures the best possible match.

What to Bring to Your Consultation

"What should I bring to my consultation?"

Please bring anything that inspires you! Whether it’s photos of floral arrangements that catch your eye, swatches of your bridal party’s attire, or even images of the venue. These will help us gain a more complete understanding of your vision.

Who Should Attend the Consultation

"Who should I bring to my consultation?"

We find that a smaller group setting allows for a more focused consultation, and helps us zero in on your specific desires and needs. We recommend bringing one or two people at the most, who are also integral to your wedding planning process.

Customization Options

"Do you offer packages or is everything customized?"

For wedding floral design and arrangements at Cactus & Tropicals, we offer both! If you love one of our bridesmaid bouquets featured on the website, we can tailor other floral arrangements to match it. For couples who are looking for something completely unique, our expert designers will work with you to create a custom arrangement.

Using Your Own Vases and Containers

"I already own vases. Can you build centerpieces in them?"

Absolutely! Just bring one to your consultation, and we can incorporate it into your customized quote. Just make sure the containers are watertight and clean.

Additional Decor and Rentals

"What other decor elements can you provide? Do you offer decor rentals?"

Beyond floral, we can also provide a variety of rental items like lanterns, votives, and arbors to enhance your special day. These can be included in your overall floral package estimate.

Your wedding is one of the most significant and important events in your life, so we’re here to make sure the floral aspect is perfect for you. From the initial consultation to the big day, you can trust Cactus & Tropicals to deliver stunning event floral design and arrangements to capture your unique love story.
