Building Homes for Native Pollinators - Saturday, April 25th at 11 AM in Midvale

Taught at our Midvale greenhouse

Utah is home to over 1,100 species of native bees. In this workshop, you will become acquainted with your native pollinators and create bamboo “bee hotel” nesting sites for solitary bees, which make up the majority of Utah’s bee species. We will also invite you to choose from a selection of native seeds to begin turning your home into a pollinator safe haven.

Taught by botanist Parker Lloyd. Parker is the Vice President of the Utah Native Plant Society, and an avid community scientist involved in projects across the region supporting native ecosystems and interconnected urban habitat corridors.

Supplies are included in the cost of the workshop.
